Welcome Paul
We’re delighted to announce that Paul Arnold will be the new Coordinator for theMediaNet.  Paul is a hugely experienced radio producer, editor and presenter, who has worked for the BBC and a variety of independent companies.  He's got great plans for the future and he’ll be a fantastic addition to theMediaNet team.  We look forward to welcoming him when he starts work fully at the beginning of September.  

Unbelievable!
Now in its 4th year, Unbelievable? the Conference has become one of the UK’s leading  training events in evangelism and apologetics. The conference, subtitled Reasonable Faith in an Uncertain World, is a spin-off from the Premier Radio programme hosted by Justin Brierly.  It will take place on Saturday 12 July at Westminster Central Hall, London. This year will feature UK and US speakers including Os Guinness, William Lane Craig, Tanya Walker and Craig Hazen. Seminars include  “Is there evidence for God?” “Recovering the art of persuasion” “How do I engage with atheists?” and much more.

Evangelical Alliance seeks editor
The Evangelical Alliance is looking for “the best darn new Editor there ever was.”

The person recruited will be responsible for the editorship of www.threadsuk.com and idea magazine, as well as managing the editorial section of the EA’s media and comms team.  You also get to work with the wonderful Chine Mbubaegbu.

Congratulations
Congratulations to MediaNet member Phil Creighton, who has received multiple nominations for the Pride of Reading awards, for his work as founder and editor of Xn Magazine and associated website, which offer community news and information for his home town.  

Elizabeth Oldfield (aka Liz Hunter, previously of this parish) has just started maternity leave in preparation for the arrival of her first baby in the next few weeks.  All prayers and good wishes will be gratefully received.  

MediaNet moving on
I am very excited to report that there are major developments afoot at theMediaNet.  Later this Summer we will be launching a brand new website, and a major shift to social media.  That means that MediaNet members will be able to keep in touch much more easily and regularly.  Apologies if we go a bit quiet while the new networks are being put in place.  We’ll be much more noisy in a few weeks.  

You may have heard by now that as part of that development I will be moving on from theMediaNet at the end of July.  I’ll say a bit more about that next month, but in the meantime, watch this space for new and exciting MediaNet developments.
