Can your church store 1,600 Christmas gift bags?

As you may be aware Sixty-One organises an annual Christmas Gift Project which gives 1,600 prisoners in HMP Bristol, Ashfield and Leyhill a bag of Christmas gifts, with the option of a gospel or Christian booklet. It's a large task purchasing, packing and delivering the gifts, and is only possible because of the support of local churches.

Last year we used St Bart's church to store the gifts, but for very good reasons (the church is in use again) it's not available this year. Unfortunately we have not been able to locate a suitable building in central Bristol for this years project. Can you or your church help?

We need a dry, ground floor room with easy access that's big enough to comfortably hold three 2.3 x 1 x 1.5 meter (LxWxH) piles of boxes, see photo below of last years gifts for a better idea of space required. Its also needs to be secure (lockable). We need it from 13 November to 22 December. This is now urgent. If you can help with this please email  or call her on 0117 403 7905.

Please Pray

Please pray that we will find a suitable location in the centre of Bristol to store this year's Christmas gifts.

Please pray for the 1,600 prisoners who will receive these gifts. This year we will be offering the prisoners a copy of a booklet called Try Praying that's been specially written for prisoners. Please pray all three prisons will agree for this be offered to prisoners and that many prisoners will take it, and read it.

Please pray that we be able to find other churches across the UK to run our Christmas Gift project in prisons near to them. Let us know of any you think may be interested.
