Bristol Burn announcement - Joseph and Chloe are stepping down as burn directors

After months of reflection and prayer, we (Chloe & Joseph) have decided to step down as Burn Directors. We really believe in the ministry of hosting the Lord's presence in worship and prayer, the significant impact this can have in on a city. (There is such healing and breakthrough when we gather together as believers from across the denominations to worship together.) However, we only want to be obedient to what he is asking us to do. We want to follow his leading and his grace for each season.  We have therefore decided to step down as Burn Directors.

We'd like to take this opportunity to reflect and thank the Lord and individuals for all they have contributed.

Bristol Burn launched in January 2016 in St Stephen’s under Ian Watt’s leadership. Since then, Bristol Burn has hosted 30 city-wide worship gatherings across Bristol where we have encouraged the local church together to seek the Lord and pray for our city for extended times.  We have been so grateful to come alongside many different churches all over Bristol - including more recently Community Church in Lawrence WestonSt James in LockleazeCentral in Central Bristol and most recently coming alongside Derek and Anne at St Andrew's in Hartcliffe with a series of worship gatherings at the beginning of 2020. We really believe in the local church and have loved coming alongside local churches to encourage them and seek the Lord with them.

To the team!
We are so grateful to our amazing core team: Angie Allen, Liam Everett and Anna Davies - and our wider team: Luke WarehamIsabelle Vahr Væggemose JohansenEvan BotwoodSam Whitlock and Hannah Scott. And a special mention to Roger Allen for his consistent love and encouragement over the years.  We love you guys and we are so grateful for everything you have contributed. You are a beautiful group of people!  It's been a huge honour to be able to lead you and learn from you.
We are also grateful the many who have been part of the team over the years. Thank you!

Looking to the future
Burn UK would love to see a new director/s rise and continue the ministry in Bristol.  Burn UK leaders Robin and Claire Dillamore would be really open to talk to those who feel called to this ministry and would welcome a conversation. Email:
