The Noise 2021 Update - Thanks for joining in with The Noise 2021!

Just over a week ago, we were busy making it happen. It was an incredible weekend and we've been really encouraged to hear some of the stories from across the city, from those who volunteered, attended events or received support from a team of volunteers. If you have a story to share of what you experienced or saw God do in lives over the weekend or since, please do get in touch!

We also want to say a very big THANK YOU for all the ways that you shared your time and skills to bless our city during The Noise 2021!

What happened?

For us, it's not about the figures. But we do know that seeing them plays a part in helping us see what happened and helping you know you were part of something bigger!

We had over 420 volunteers from 34 churches and groups across Bristol. We LOVED to see the split of ages taking part this year, with over 25% volunteers under 18, and over 25% volunteers over 50!

Teams of volunteers hosted:
  • 5 Pop-up takeaway cafés plus a family craft session
  • 4 Treasure hunts
  • Cream tea deliveries to over 500 senior citizens
Volunteers also tackled around 50 different practical community projects within homes, in public spaces and a community centres or schools.

And, everything was FREE!

We have begun to add photos from the weekend to our website (www.thenoise.org.uk) and on our Facebook page. Please feel free to tag friends and share around your networks too!

How Churches Can Get Involved With The Noise 2021

The Noise weekend is an annual occasion when churches across the city unite to reach out to the communities around them, with a shared vision of showing God's love in practical ways. The Covid-19 pandemic has caused many events to be cancelled, as well as much disappointment, isolation and loss. This year, especially, our communities need to feel God's love.

We are passionate about the vision of The Noise, and have been busy planning and considering how and what might be possible this year. Mindful of the uncertaintythe noise 2021 2of the next few months, we are working towards hosting The Noise around the May Day Bank Holiday weekend (1st-3rd May 2021). We are passionate about Bristol and want to equip you and your church to continue blessing communities across the city and the people who live there.

THERE ARE THREE KEY WAYS FOR CHURCHES TO BE INVOLVED IN THE NOISE WEEKEND

We’ve put together The Noise 2021 Handbook as a guide to spark ideas as you consider how your church community could be involved this year. It details the different elements of The Noise weekend and our suggestions for what it might look like in different communities.
