An autumnal update from inHope

Welcome to our October e-newsletter!

Sarah's off sunning herself this week, on a well earned holiday, so I've been left in charge of the e-newsletter!  Here's my update of update of what's been going on at inHope.

Your support is more needed than ever

We're still looking for women who want to change the lives of homeless women in Bristol.

In order to open the overnight accommodation, and to provide the support that homeless women in Bristol desperately need, we need to recruit 4 x overnight waking support workers, and an additional support worker to help facilitate the day time activities. If that could be you - or if you know somebody else that it could be - please find out more here.

Equally important are the female volunteers.  We have a wide range of volunteer roles, with varying levels of commitment.  You can find out more and apply here.

Other Job Opportunities Within inHope

It's not just Spring of Hope that's got some exciting job opportunities - we've got something for everyone (probably).  Check out some of these great opportunities to join our lovely team.

Homes not Houses

"A radically different approach is needed to solve the housing crisis in Bristol."

Fundraising

14 hardy people swapped their comfy bed for a chilly night under the stars as part of this year's sleepout.  We want to say a massive thank you and well done to all who took part - in total we raised over £4,000!

And the fundraising wasn't limited to sleeping out!  We're all super-proud of our Spring of Hope Manager Nicola, who successfully completed the London Marathon.  She says she'll never do it again, but we'll see...

Christmas is coming

Okay, it might be a while yet, but we do have a daily countdown on our board in the office, because we're getting ready for this year's Big Give Christmas Challenge, which takes place between 29th November and 6th December.  This year we're aiming to raise £40,000 - enough to fund the Wild Goose through the coldest months of winter.

You can help - we're looking for churches who would be happy to give out our Big Give leaflets to their congregation on Sundays 27th November and 4th December.  If you're able to help, please email

inHope's vision is of communities where everybody can reach their God-given potential, free from injustice and insecurity.
Your support will make this vision a reality.

Phew - we made it to the end of the newsletter.  Fear not - Sarah will be back next month, but thank you for reading this far and for your amazing support for inHope.  Visit our website and social media to find out more about us and how you can get involved by volunteering, donating, praying, and spreading the word!

If you have any questions, comments or encouragements you'd like to share with the inHope community, do please let me know!
