'Into The Light'

Ministry Focus

'But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God’s special possession, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light.'
1 Peter 2:9

Christmas is coming and much of the world gets 'lit up.'
That's with good reason if their reason for the season is Jesus who IS the Light of the World; and as believers, it's a great time to remind ourselves of Who He is, why He came, what He has done what that means.

Darkness is the absence of light and we are now pulled out from that and have the opportunity to do likewise for others. Below are a couple of recent stories of God's goodness through our work for Him, where for certain people they truly did 'see the Light.'

Thank you for your precious ongoing interest and support.

'THEY CHANGED TEAMS'

                                          Playing with Purpose

Meet Frank from Rubira, Burundi.
Frank came to Jesus a while back and then heard how his passion for God and love of football could combine. Frank is a serious player and leads a team that play competitively. One rival team was Muslim dense and quite aggressively so against because of Frank and his team's strong Christian faith.
Building relationships through the games, Frank prayed for a 'person of peace' to be made known and sure enough, one of the opposition who was a real person of influence responded to the shared Word of God and decided to follow Jesus! The Lord wasn't finished there, as the majority of the rest of that team then said 'yes' to Jesus. Talk about now playing on another team!

Thank You Lord.

"I CAN NOW BOWL!"

                                             Healed on Camp

Locally here in the UK, we recently ran some children's sports camps during the Half Term break. Lot's of God moments, but you really need to hear about Jack.

On day two, Jack complained of a severely sore shoulder on our cricket camp. He believed he pulled a muscle and said he was struggling to bowl the ball. One of our coaches asked if he would like prayer for healing; Jack responded pensively, but did say 'yes.' Within 15 minutes Jack was up to full speed, making life very uncomfortable for opposition batters - he was delighted exclaiming that 'the pain had gone' and he can now bowl again!

Other children on camp that same day admitted to suffering with high levels of anxiety, and after discussing Jesus as the healing 'Prince of Peace' and praying for them, most stated that they felt like a weight had been lifted from them.
Five of that group chose to begin following Jesus that day.

Praise God!
