3-6-6: Make the extra day count!

Make this month’s extra leap day count by donating £3.66 — the price of a supermarket meal deal — to provide emergency food for families in crisis.

An extra day might not feel like much, but it can achieve a huge amount.
In a single day over 30,000 students walk through the doors of our academies, 1,600 meals are provided by our 20 community hubs, and 8 people at risk of human trafficking are guided to safety by our Stop The Traffik intelligence teams.

And in one single day on February 29, we are aiming to raise enough money to keep one of our food projects open for a whole month! Could you make sure that no family goes hungry by using your extra 24 hours to donate £3.66? Together we can make the Leap Day count!

Launch of the Centre for Young Lives

Centre-for-Young-Lives
Earlier this month saw the launch of an independent think tank, hosted by Oasis, committed to improving the lives of children, young people, and families throughout the UK — the Centre for Young Lives.

Anne Longfield CBE, Executive Chair and Founder of the Centre said, “The Centre for Young Lives will have a relentless focus on shaping policy that understands real people’s lives and uses the best innovation to do things differently.”

The work of the Centre reaffirms our commitment to build stronger communities throughout the UK with the vision “for Britain to become the best place in the world to grow up and to bring up children”. As Oasis Founder Steve Chalke writes in ‘A Manifesto for Hope’, “you can judge the wisdom of any society by the investment it makes in its children.”
