TEN January News - Fellowship, Peace and Hope

Happy New Year and welcome to our first newsletter of 2025. Thank you for being part of what we do at TEN, whether that is praying, giving, volunteering or a combination. We are so grateful for your involvement and encouragement. We hope you are encouraged too.

Online Prayer Gathering - Tomorrow Evening!

Join us tomorrow evening for our next online prayer gathering. We have a special guest with us from the Balkans, who will share about their ministry with young people and how you can pray for their work where they are. Make sure you join us!

We will be joined with other partners from across the Balkans and Eastern Europe. After our guest has shared about their work, we will break out into smaller groups where you can pray with partners and supporters about what has been shared and also any requests from the partners you are with. Our online prayer gatherings are a great way to engage directly with our partners and be mutually encouraged.

The prayer gathering will take place over Microsoft Teams – you do not have to have a Teams account to join. We will also be joined by other partners as well as supporters. Join us to pray together for God’s work across the Balkans and Eastern Europe.

Rejoicing Among Angels

Just before Christmas, Mircea and Ronela Cristian (pictured below), who lead Rock of Ages Foundation in Romania shared these beautiful testimonies of God at work.

“In the same way, I tell you, there is rejoicing in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner who repents.”

Luke 15:10 NIV

May God be glorified for he blessed us by seeing fruit as we proclaim the Word of God through preaching, teaching, sending Bible studies and writing to the inmates!

It is so good to hear testimonies like these:

I am under so much stress now; the day of my release from prison is getting close, but for some reason it keeps being delayed. But in these moments, because I needed people, I started to pray and an amazing thing happened, not just one time. A peace I’ve never experienced embraced my heart! This is God!

If in the penitentiary system my colleagues are coming with the law, you – the people from Rock of Ages – are coming with the peace of mind and heart, and forgiveness! The inmates are always calmer when they return from a meeting with you!

This is what they know to say, but we know the only One who gives true peace – our Lord Jesus Christ, who is the Peace.

Compassion in Novi Sad

We've recently received a lovely message from our friend Erika Sabljov, who is part of Novi Sad Christian Fellowship and an important part of their Hand for a Friend ministry to homeless people.

Thanks to your support for our Harvest for the Hungry and WinterHelp appeals, we've been able to help the project's resources go further. Here's a little of what Erika shared with us.

The weather here has been extremely cold - below zero - and sadly, many of those we're helping have no heating or are out in the open. Shoes are a precious gift to them; everyone treasures and uses them.

Yesterday, we were able to give out food packages, including canned goods for the coming days, and we also prepared a hot meal with meat, which brought them so much joy. Thanks to your generous support, we'll be able to provide them with hot meals and takeaways every Friday going forward.

From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for your support .
