austin-neill-hgO1wFPXl3I-unsplA music venue is asking local musical talent to apply to its artist development programme for 2025.

Big Team and Bristol Beacon have joined forces for the fourth time to support local artists working towards the next stage of their careers with support from Team Love.

The deadline is 13 February and applications were open for anyone producing rap, grime, hip hop, electronic, R&B, or pop music, organisers said.

Big Team said: "It's always been a key focus... to support grassroots and underrepresented artists and creatives in the city who are trying to break into the music and festival industry."

During the project, participants would work with local industry mentors such as Sam Interface, NYTA, Javeon, NGAIO, Dread MC and Grove, organisers said.

They would go on to a showcase performance at Bristol Beacon, radio show features and festival performances, they added.

The offering is stretching over an 18-month period, which would prepare the cohort for festival performances in summer season 2025 and 2026, they also said.

Artists from the previous years are due to be invited back to industry-tailored workshops and collaborative opportunities, supported by Big Team.
