This Saturday 15th March is the ISAAC UK & Ireland Conference and our very own Stuart Leitch is one of the seminar speakers!

9:15am - 4:45pm
St Michael's Centre, North Rd, Stoke Gifford, Bristol BS34 8PD

Join us for an unmissable event, exploring addiction, recovery and the Christian faith.

Gather together with like-minded Christians from all backgrounds as we explore what it looks like to walk with people recovering from the many faces of addiction.

Our theme ‘Fill the Void’ recognises the times we are living in. To quote one of our Keynote Speakers Andy Partington, “How did we get here? And how can we find freedom from addiction? Addiction today is not just about drug or alcohol abuse. It’s about gambling addictions, porn dependencies, workaholism, and internet addictions.”

We invite you to come and encounter the overflowing heart of God which fills the void in our hearts, communities, projects and churches with His glorious hope.

International Women's Day - woman from Spring of Hope

Last Saturday 8th March was International Women's Day and this year we wanted to hear from women at Spring of Hope and why having a single-sex space is so important for them. Here's what they said:

"It’s vital to be able to talk with other women who may be able to see their point of view."

"It makes me feel a lot more safe, at ease and less anxious."

"It’s friendlier and more relaxing."

"Lovely to have a safe and calm environment to share stories and get advice and support without judgement and being judged. Good to speak to volunteers who have been in similar situations too. Thank you!"

Meals in the Wild Goose

Staff and volunteers have created and served 3,677 hot meals in 2025 already, including this plate of meatballs, mash, cabbage and of course gravy!

The team are in need of a volunteer van driver on Tuesday mornings to collect food from our partner in Avonmouth and deliver and unload to the Wild Goose. This is a vital role to enable meals like this one to be offered to some of the most disadvantaged people in Bristol.

Read more about the role and apply here: https://inhope.goassemble.com/opportunities/55888-wild-goose-van-driver-volunteer-2023-11-09.

Counterslip Cares Foodbank Outlet is on the move
We want to start by thanking the wonderful members of Counterslip Baptist Church, who have generously hosted us and supported the Counterslip Foodbank Outlet for the past 11 years.
With the selling of the building we recognise that there is concern about what happens to the foodbank. We want to be clear that the Foodbank is NOT closing and we will continue to operate. In due time we will be moving to Christ Church Hengrove and will be renaming ourselves as BS14 Foodbank Outlet.
This move won't be happening immediately, and we will only change our name when we have moved. We will update you all when we have the move in dates!
The service will operate on the same basis, anyone needing to access our help and support, will be given all the relevant information by the person referring them, we will make sure we advertise clearly when the move date is confirmed. If you are in need of help, please do reach out, the information on Trussell's website provides a lot of helpful guidance: https://www.trussell.org.uk/emergency-food
We are excited about this new chapter, church and community at Hengrove, and look forward to be able to continue to serve the BS14 community until a time when we are no longer needed.
