Pray for Schools Update

Dear Praying Friends,

I am emailing you with the summer term PFS newsletter.

I hope you are encouraged by recent suggestions (have you for example seen Bible Society 'quiet revival' article?) that the younger generation is expressing a growing appetite for spiritual things with many coming to church. This is an answer to the prayers of many of us over the years through Pray for Schools and many other initiatives too. Let’s believe that God is surely on the move and keep praying!

However, I am writing to tell you that Pray for Schools in its current form is coming to an end. CARE has for several years sponsored it and as Prayer Champion I’ve had the privilege of chairing it. But it has become clear to CARE’s CEO and Leadership Team that due to budgetary restraints and a growing demand on our resources we should no longer commit to this.

We are hopeful that in both England and Wales another organisation will ‘adopt’ PFS. I’ll keep you in the loop about any further developments.

In the meantime, I know you will join me in thanking Jane Newey for all she has done and wish her God’s richest blessing as she moves on.

And thank you for your support!
With best wishes
Revd Celia Bowring
