In this special in-person workshop and clinic, Voscur is delighted to be working in partnership with the Ethical Property Foundation, the leading property advice charity for the UK voluntary sector.
What is the event about?
Led by an experienced chartered surveyor Simon Taylor, EPF’s Head of Property Services, and Simon East, Partner at Knights Solicitors in Bristol, participants will enjoy learning from their front-line experience and looking at their premises with fresh eyes. This event is split into two parts, beginning with a workshop and ending with an informal clinic for individual consultations.
The workshop will cover:

How to use your premises for maximise benefit for your cause and community.

Key trustee property responsibilities and liabilities: key Qs to ask.

Planning for capital projects: where do you start?

How to engage with local authorities with confidence and knowledge.

How to evaluate what is relevant for your organisation.

Ask the right questions of lettings agents, landlords, surveyors and solicitors.

Identify common pitfalls and easily overlooked issues.
With group work, follow up resources and plenty of time for discussion, participants can also access a Certificate of Attendance and free follow-up guidance from a member of EPF’s team of chartered surveyors or register of commercial property solicitors, planning and VAT specialists.
Who is it for?
This event is for people in leadership positions within organisations managing community buildings across Bristol.
Price
Due to funding from Bristol City Council, places for this session are subsidised at £10 each.
What else do you need to know?
This event will be held in person. Tea and coffee will be provided, but please bring a reusable cup, if possible. Lunch is NOT provided on this occasion.
