Sixty-One, in partnership with local Prison Chaplaincies, invites you to join us for a special event during Prisons Week:
An informative evening and exhibition to learn first-hand about the rehabilitative work happening in greater Bristol and opportunities to support people both in prison and upon their release.
A variety of organisations supporting people in and outside of prison will be exhibiting their work with music provided throughout the evening by the charity Changing Tunes.
Keynote Speaker: We are delighted to welcome as our keynote speaker, Bob Wilson, Free Churches Faith Advisor to the Prison and Probation service in England and Wales, a member of the Prisons Week Board of Reference and ex-officio trustee of The Welcome Directory.
Bob has been involved in prison ministry since 1995, when he first walked into HMP The Verne as a student. He is an ordained Baptist minister and Prison Chaplain, involved in training of Chaplains in a wider sense as an adjunct lecturer of Chester University.
So, whether you’re actively supporting people with a criminal conviction, not sure where to start, or looking to network with others in the sector, this evening is for you!
